The author of Black Rock will be appearling alongside to Monique Roffey as part of the Lit Fest on 17th March.
Amanda Smyth's lyrical debut tells the story of Celia, a young girl growing up in Tobago. Singled out as one of Waterstone's New Voices 2009, Black Rock has been comparerdto Jean Rhys's Wide Sargasso Sea.
Monique Roffey was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad. She first visited Litfest in 2002, with her first novel, Sun Dog. Her latest, The White Woman on the Green Bicycle, is a love story set over fifty years in Trinidad.
To celebrate these two writers and offer an all round sensory experience the NICE restaurant are offering a taste of the Caribbean with a special menu available for this one night only.
